After the operations of mowing, brush cutting, clearing of forests and eventual plowing of uncultivated land, we proceeded with the sowing and transplantation of native species grown in the nursery, placed ex situ (that is, externally) of Palazzolo dello Stella (UD) with some specific activities specifically set up to support the recovery activities of the LIFE Project. Propagation material was collected in the best preserved dry grasslands, lands that are also the richest in rare native species, before the activity of expansion was started.

This action has foreseen the use of structures that have already been predisposed by the Region at the Volpares farm in Palazzolo dello Stella (UD) for the production of seedlings in containers with the aim of completing restoration of the uncultivated agricultural land. This entailed some infrastructure costs and improvement work (the construction of a concrete roof, the acquisition of a misting system, the creation of a conservation and germination chamber, etc.).
